A potent concoction for that morning-after feeling. Also an excellent appetizer or aperitif: 2 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey, 1 3/4 ounces clam juice, 1 3/4 ounces tomato juice, few dashes of worcestershire sauce, a pinch of ground pepper, and juice of lime. Shake (not too much) and strain into 6-ounce glass.
SERPENT'S TOOTH
2 parts Irish whiskey 4 parts sweet vermouth 2 parts lemon juice 1 part Kummel 1 dash Angostura bitters
Stir well with ice and strain into glass.
SHAMROCK (1)
1/2 Irish whiskey 1/2 dry vermouth 3 dashes green Chartreuse 3 dashes green creme de menthe
Stir well with ice and strain into glass. Serve with green olive.
SHAMROCK (2)
Into a shaker, put 1 jigger Irish whiskey, 1/3 jigger dry vermouth, 1/3 jigger green creme de menthe. Shake well with ice. Strain into cocktail glass.
